Ida Thoefner

Before her research career, Ida Thøfner, worked as large animal and equine vet. Ida obtained her PhD from University of Copenhagen on work protozoal diseases in poultry. Her postdoc work has been concentrated on bacterial infections in poultry. She currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, University of Copenhagen in the Section of Veterinary Clinical Microbiology. She is doing research with a special interest in host-pathogen interactions and experimental infection models in poultry diseases and veterinary microbiology.
