Anders Miki Bojesen The Prato Conference on the Pathogenesis of Bacterial Infections of Animals 2016

Anders Miki Bojesen

Miki Bojesens group at Copenhagen University has been investigating different members of the Pasteurellaceae family. Particular emphasis has been placed on Gallibacterium anatis, which was described in 2003. Several aspects of G. anatis ranging from studies of prevalence, pathogenesis to prevention by vaccination have been performed. More recently focus has been aimed at sequence-based identification of putative immunogens using several genomes, which then have been tested in relevant animal models. Miki Bojesen obtained his DVM (2000) and PhD (2003) from The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, Copenhagen (merged with Copenhagen University in 2006). He was appointed as professor in Preventive Veterinary Microbiology in 2012.
